Our Services

Climate change adaption, ocean governance, marine monitoring & forecasting

Company Profile

As a network of consulting oceanographers and marine monitoring specialists, OEA Technologies enables its clients to adapt to a changing sea. We have expertise in all five marine monitoring groups (spaceborne, airborne, in situ surficial, in situ subsurface and shore-based), but often our clients’ needs go beyond sensors, platforms and forecasting models, with sustainability and data management issues dominating a process by which OEA Technologies delivers an end-to-end solution to clients’ needs. OEA Technologies Incorporated specialises in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and the Caribbean Sea, where it focuses on issues related to climate change adaptation and ocean governance.

To date, our consultants and technicians have worked in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The company has extensive experience in observing the sea from space with satellite sensors, and from shore using sea-viewing CODAR HF radars. In Canada (except BC), for example, OEA Technologies is the exclusive sales and technical service provider for CODAR SeaSonde HF radars.

Selected Canadian and Caribbean projects are profiled on the  project page.
